Flip Kuma
BIOGRAPHY
Flip Kuma is a 26 year old Hip-Hop MC/Producer from Ottawa, Canada. In the past five years, Flip Kuma has independently recorded and produced 3 EP's and 2 LP's including the critically acclaimed Burnt Rubber Lung. His subject matter travels from the quest for love, to the lows of substance abuse and depression. He explores dreams and the desire for success, but his music is rooted in the reality of everyday life. Collaborating with all types of artists his projects incorporate live instrumentation and guest singers.As a performer he has independently toured throughout Quebec, Ontario and the Midwest U.S on many occasions. No rookie to the stage he's opened up for the likes of Josh Martinez, Planet Asia and the Living Legends. He's toured alongside Dj Vadim's OneSelf as well as P.O.S. and MacLethal and during the 2005 Ottawa Jazzfest, Kuma took the main stage backed by Ninja Tune Band The Herbalizer. This past year Kuma has been busily recording his second full length album The Underachievers Feast and put in heavy time touring and recording with Ottawa supergroup Virgin Blonde Fantasy
